This book addresses aspects of the Iberê Camargo contemporary art museum in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and the design and construction of the new Museu Nacional dos Coches in Lisbon, Portugal.

The latter is a triumph of construction on the merit of its architecture and engineering. It consists of two autonomous buildings, held in a single structure, a constant challenge to the law of gravity, presented by Paulo Mendes da Rocha. The concrete skeleton holds up the trussed steel transparent boxes, hovering above the bulky auditorium and uniting the riverside, existing features of the city in a new and breath-taking structure on view to all who enter Lisbon.

As an online extra, the BIM model produced by the design team, a construction development photographic reportage, and some articles are also available.
