IMS: a development and deployment perspective

IP Multimedia Subsystem will provide the reader with an understanding of IMS technology and the possibilities of IMS services and applications. The first three chapters of the book are an introduction to IMS and its core components before moving on to the deployment of IMS. This includes sections on IMS applications and services and the impact of IMS on application developers. The book will also provide performance measurements on a live IMS test bed connected toan operator network and present substantial material on post-IMS possibilities and issues relating to integration with the web services and its co-existence with the emerging Web 2.0 technologies. This is one of the first books that covers IMS services and applications from a deployment perspective. The industry does not currently have a comprehensive study of deployment issues for its reference.
