The main objective of this book is to present an evidence-based best practiceapproach to the design, development, and operation of formal mentoring programs within organizations. A start to finish guide will be provided that can be used by management, employee development professionals, and formal mentoring program administrators. The book will include practical tools and resources that organizations can use such as training exercises, sample employee development plans, and mentoring contracts. Case studies from organizations with successful mentoring programs will also be incorporated. These case studies will be used to help illustrate various principles (e.g., how the mentoring program is aligned with other organizational systems) and best practice contemporary strategies suggested in the book.
