This book is about the internal motivations and beliefs of Egyptian key political actors and the role they played in the downfall of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) as well as their role in maintaining the military as a centre of power in Egyptian politics. Additionally, the project examines the reasons behind the downfall of Morsi and Islamists and why they failed in ruling Egypt after the departure of Mubarak. The author analyses how the belief system and policies of the MB, as well as the policies of Morsi, accelerated the end of their regime.
