This volume is a compilation of vapor–liquid equilibrium data on subcritical binary single-phase or two-phase liquid–liquid systems. All the components arewell-defined pure substances, which are organic or inorganic nonelectrolytes, including low-melting ionic liquids and water. The present database contains numerical data for 2297 systems. The book reproduces in tables and graphs the numerical values for only 860 binary mixtures, chosen to be representative of all the compound classes and property types. The full set of data is availableonline on www.springerlink.com: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-70745-5. The ELBT.EXE program can be downloaded as electronic supplementary material. It permits to search, retrieve, display, and export the totality of 5613 numerical data sets of Part 1 and Part 2 in five formats: PDF (the same format as inthe book), fully documented computer readable standard electronic files (SELFand ELDATA), and the XML versions of SELF and ELDATA. The ELBT-program allowsthe fast search of data according to property type, chemical system, author(s), source and year of publication. It also includes the bibliographical database of ELDATA, an updated version of EVLM’2006, giving 13634 references from 1888 through end 2007 to experimental vapor–liquid equilibrium in mixtures and solution measurements. Standard reference book with selected and easily retrievable data from the fields of physics and chemistry collected by acknowledged international scientists. With contributions by: J. Fontaine, H. Kehiaian, J. Linek, K. Sosnkowska-Kehiaian, Z. Wagner, I.
