The basic principles of geomechanical processes occurring in the mine workings during extraction of minerals are discussed in this book. Particular attention is paid to the support system, specifically to the various anchor and frame support designs, and also to the modern means providing resource-saving conditions of ensuring mine workings sustainability. The basic principles of a computing experiment performance at modeling of geomechanical processes are also presented and he stress-strain state of "rock massif – mine working support" system is investigated. Field studies are also covered.
