Most books on environmental science focus on ecological or biological aspectsof environmental conservation, often with a polemic agenda. The physics, if covered at all, is generally superficial. Using pertinent examples from the environment and the ways in which people interact with it, Physics of the Environment sets out to provide a cogent account of the underlying physical laws witha lucidity and rigor appropriate to an undergraduate course in the subject.
