The magnetic properties of silicates and phosphates are compiled in subvolume27I. While subvolumes 27I1, 27I2, 27I3 and 27I4 (already published) deal withorthosilicates, sorosilicates, cyclosilicates, and inosilicates, respectively, the present subvolume 27I5 deals with phyllosilicates. Subvolume 27I5 has been spilt in two parts a and ß; part 27I5ß discusses chlorites, the kaolin group, serpentines, the halloysite and pyrosmalite groups, the sepiolite and palygorskite group, the reyerite and rhodesite groups and related phases, the kanemite and ekanite groups, tuscanite, vertiumnite, aminoffite, surite, cymrite, cavansite, eakerite, magadiite, kenyaite, bikitaite, petalite, prehnite and related silicates. Further subvolumes wil be dedicated to tectosilicates and to phosphates. - Silicates are very complex systems, covering large classes of minerals as well as synthetic samples Standard reference book with selected and easily retrievable data from the fields of physics and chemistry collected by acknowledged international scientists INDICE: From the contents Magnetic and related properties of silicates andphosphates - nine chapters for different types of phyllosilicates - figures, tables and references for each chapter.
