The book will provide an update to the successful title Extraction Methods for Environmental Analysis, JR Dean (Wiley) published in 1998. It will cover allaspects of extraction methods as related to environmental organic contaminants. Following an introductory chapter on environmental analysis, the book will be divided into five sections: aqueous samples, solid samples, gaseous samples, comprarisons of extraction methods and finally resources. The first two sections will highlight key important aspects of the different sample types and tothe range of extraction methodology required. Methods of analysis will be discussed including chromatographic approaches for environmental organic analysis.
