Awards include the 2005 Japanese YRP for work on the MIMO MDC, the Young Elite Researcher Award of Denmark and in 2007 the Nokia Champion award due to his ‘outstanding skills and devotion’. Frank's current areas of research interest are in wireless and mobile communication networks, mobile phone programming, cross layer as well as energy efficient protocol design and cooperative networking.
