This book outlines the current state of knowledge in the field of language learning psychology and indicates possible future directions for the field. The first part of the book focuses on theoretical and conceptual developments, such as recent moves towards more holistic perspectives, which view language learning psychology as a whole and explore the interconnections between constructs. The field of language learning psychology is a vibrant one currently undergoing fundamental conceptual and methodological changes.
