ERP systems and organisational change: a socio-technical insight

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are now the backbone of the information systems in public and private sector organisations. Yet, even if their ability to address the fragmentation of former information systems, provide functional integration and support best practices is recognised, difficulties remain.
