This book explores veganism, vegan identity and animal advocacy more broadly, from a critical biographical perspective within this complex social context. Building upon empirical research in the area, the book contributes a biographical perspective on veganism, examining the events and experiences that have been significant in shaping the biographies and identities of vegan animal advocates. Based on qualitative interviews with vegans, the author presents an overview of some of the experiences and motivations of this growing minority of the population.
