The Terahertz (THz) domain today has become a very promising part of the electromagnetic spectrum for many applications used in the telecommunications, medicine or security industries. This book describes a novel principle of tag to be used in the THz frequency region, complementary to the RFID solutions which are now commonly use, and to increase the level of security of the encoded information. These pure dielectric tags, in which the information is encoded in the volume, is very difficult to analyze and to counterfeit, and exhibits encoding capacities of several tens of bits. Such structure of tags is low cost since it can be made of polyethylene (plastic) or using paper-based materials which also serves to make it completely green. Describes a technical solution for tag and information encoding for identification and unitary authentication in the THz frequency rangeProposes a principle to be applied in the THz range, differing RFID by encoding information in the volume of a dielectric structure without any metallic partHelps you to increase the level of security of the encoded information INDICE: 1. Why the THID technologies?2. State of art of THID technologies3. Design of the chipless THID tags4. THID Tags for Identification purposes: Encoding approach, Performances5.
