Based on a conference at Oakland University, this volume presents interdisciplinary perspectives on the issue of morality and its development in humans. The contributors are an international group of experts in their respective areas. Drawing on psychological, anthropological, biological, and neuroscientific evidence, they offer their individual viewpoints supporting the adaptive origins of this crucial value in our society.
