The authors explore various stress management components andanalyses for construction personnel, including their different worknatures; the various stressors causing their stress; themanifestation of stress; the impact of coping behaviours to thestress; the consequences of stress on their performances; and thestress management strategies. In order to provide specific and effective recommendationsfor construction personnel to manage their stress, these topics aresupported by scientific research results including both surveystatistics and scenario analyses. In chapters where scientificresearch results are applied, statistical results are firstpresented, followed by various scenarios to unveil the underliningreasons of the statistical relationships found. Detailedanalyses and discussions are then be made using genuineconstruction context. The authors' goal here is to facilitate thedevelopment of stress management research and education inconstruction, while also enhancing the awareness of constructionpersonnel on the significance of stress and the importance of itsmanagement.
