Fuel Cell Micro-grids describes an energy supply method based on a network oftwo or more proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEM-FC). Such a network enables the effective use of exhaust heat, the simplification of the transmission network, the possibility of backup during disruptive hazards and the consideration of regional factors. Furthermore, green energy and renewable energy systems can be connected to the network, to function in cooperation with the fuel cells. For these reasons, it is believed that an increasing number of applications will make use of such fuel cell energy networks. Fuel Cell Micro-grids analyses the operation plan of these new energy supply methods using genetic algorithms. The book explains the results of the analysis of the optimization operation plan, energy cost, and greenhouse gas discharge characteristics for manyapplication cases of the fuel cell network. Describes an energy supply methodbased on a network of two or more proton exchange membrane fuel cells INDICE: From the contents Small-scale Fuel Cell Cogeneration System Considering Partial Load and Load Fluctuation.- Equipment Arrangement Planning of a Fuel Cell Energy Network Optimized for Cost Minimization.- Effective Improvement in Generation Efficiency due to Partition Cooperation Management.- Fuel Cell Network System Considering Reduction in Fuel Cell Capacity Using Load Leveling and Heat Release Loss.- Equipment Plan of Compound Interconnection Micro-grid Composed from Diesel Power Plants and Fuel Cell.- Effective-use Method of Exhaust Heat for Distributed Fuel Cells.- Load Response Characteristics of the Fuel Cell for Individual Cold-region Houses.- Load Response Characteristics ofa Fuel Cell Micro-grid with Control of Number of Units.- Dynamic Characteristics of PEM-FC/Woody Biomass Engine Hybrid Micro Grid.- Fuel Cell and Hydrogenation Engine Hybrid System Considering Improvement of Efficiency for Partial-load Operation.
