Play therapy theory and practice: comparing theories and techniques

Covers the major models of play therapy and explains how each is used in actual practice. A second case study of an older girl with adjustment issues is included in the second edition. This adds a great deal of information for readers without significantly increasing the length of the book. After two cases arepresented in the introduction , each chapter author presents the theory indicated in the chapter title and then applies it to the primary case. This is followed by a discussion of how the application would change in conceptualizing and treating the second case. This allows the authors to present the range of interventions available within the model they are discussing.
