This book presents a set of narratives by family therapists and researchers on their personal engagement with the challenges of metaphysical practice. They explore the contradictions between the current dominant global discourse of individualism and fundamentalist religiosity, on the one hand, and spiritual discourses of compassion and mutual responsibility, on the other.
