Most practitioners in pharmacovigilance work in the pharmaceutical industry or in regulatory authorities - this book specifically considers the subject from the perspective of that interface. There are few textbooks in the field and those that are published are large and too detailed to be of value to the new entrant. Currently, there is no short introductory textbook, newcomers therefore can only learn on the job or through training courses.
